September Worship Series - Dare to Dream
A Worship Series Where We Reclaim Our God Given Power of Imagination
September 8 - Dare to Dream: Imagine Our Power
In a world that seems overrun with problems and conflicts, where situations often seem overwhelming and hopeless; NOW is the time to rediscover how we got here, and to reclaim our power to imagine a New Future
September 15 - Dare to Dream: Imagine Our Healing
Our woundedness is the source of much of our dysfunction. Let’s visualize our collective healing and the transformation that can be unleashed.
September 22-Dare to Dream: Imagine the Earth’s Wholeness
On Friday, September 20, 2019, communities around the world will join in a Global Climate Strike. Building on the remarkable pattern of student strikes, people of all ages will stop work, leave homes, break routines, and join together in calling for rapid action on climate justice. Many denominations, including the UCC have endorsed collective action.
In our Sunday worship we will image what it would mean to live in right relationship to our Earth and all that embodies it.
September 29 - Dare to Dream: Imagine a Home for All
“Home” is a concept that commands attention personally, globally and historically. What changes if we picture a home for all?
October 6 - Dare to Dream: Imagine Our Way to Peace
Children fight. Siblings fight. Tribes fight. Religions fight. Nations fight. On Worldwide Communion Sunday, can we envision a pathway to peace?
Adult Education begins September 12th
We will convene on Thursday mornings, 10:00 - 11:15 in the Gathering Hall to study the curriculum that our Confirmands will be using. The goal is to rediscover Our Faith, Our Questions, and Our Calling for today.
Farmers Market Gleanings
On Saturday, September 7th, we need 2-3 volunteers from 11:30 – 1:30 to assist with the distribution of donated fresh produce to those in need. Sign up in the Gathering Hall, and for more information, please contact Roger Dart.
